David Beckham -- World Cup Dream Over

UPDATE: Beckham's doc says the surgery is complete and David will stay at Mehilainen clinic in Finald overnight.

David Beckham will not be playing in the World Cup -- and he's heading to Finland today to see a specialist after tearing his Achilles' tendon this weekend.



David's spokesman tells PEOPLE that he will likely have an operation tomorrow -- and Victoria will be flying in today to be by his side.

This would have been David's fourth World Cup.
