Tyra Banks Gets Booked

It's official, Tyra Banks is now a writer!

The former model just announced she's writing a new fantasy novel called "Modelland" ... and it's part of a three book series.

According to her website, "The story follows a teen girl and her friends who find themselves magically transported to Modelland."

Banks says Modelland is a make-believe place "where 'Intoxibellas' are trained.  Intoxibellas are drop-dead beautiful, kick-butt fierce and, yeah, maybe they have some powers too."

No word yet on when the series will launch.

I have always been a fan of Tyra. In her earlier modeling years she postured herself as a sophisticated, intelligent human being. I was not surprised that she moved on to have her own television show. The woman has not lost her class, and the book making is a testimonial to her continued academic prowness. Good luck Tyra, you will always be my #1 Fox.
