Lindsay Lohan was ordered to refrain from drinking or doing drugs and is now forced to wear an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet after a court hearing yesterday -- here's a recap of all the legal drama that got her to this point.
May 26, 2007-- The First Arrest
Lindsay lost control of her Mercedes and ran her car into a curb. After the crash, LiLo got into another car and was driven to Century City Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
Police found cocaine in Lohan's car and placed her under arrest for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
May 28, 2007 -- Second Rehab Stint
Lindsay enters Promises Treatment Center for 45 days and is fitted with a SCRAM bracelet upon release.
July 24, 2007 -- The Second Arrest
Lindsay was arrested on five counts, including driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license and possession of narcotics after a bizarre car chase in a vehicle that did not belong to her.
August 2007 -- Back in Rehab
Lohan enters Cirque Lodge in Utah for treatment, she stays there until October 5.
August 23, 2007 -- Lindsay Pleads Guilty
Lindsay Lohan pleads no contest to reckless driving and two counts of DUI. She also pleads guilty to being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Lohan is ordered to serve 36 months probation and attend alcohol ed program for 18 months.
She was also sentencedto 10 days community service and one day in jail.
November 15, 2007 -- Time for Jail
Lindsay Lohan spends 84 minutes in jail at Lynwood women's facility — her one day sentence was reduced due to overcrowding.
October 2008 -- Lindsay Gets Sued
Lindsay is sued by the three guys who were in the vehicle the night of her second arrest — claiming an intoxicated Lindsay hijacked a car in which they were passengers and began an insane ride down PCH, "endangering all of their lives."
October 16, 2009 -- Extension Granted
The judge extends Lindsay's probation another year so she can finish her alcohol education classes.
December 15, 2009 -- High Marks from the Judge
Lindsay's lawyer in court for a progress hearing — where the judge says Lindsay must complete her alcohol ed class by July 15, 2010.
April 14 & 21, 2010 -- Lohan Bails on Depositions
Lindsay blows off two depositions in the case where she's being sued for allegedly holding three men hostage in an SUV.
April 22, 2010 -- Daddy Drama
L.A. County Sheriff's Department deputies show up at Lindsay Lohan's apartment accompanied by Michael Lohan to check on Lindsay's sister's welfare.
May 4, 2010 -- Deposition Day
Third time's a charm for Lindsay Lohan — who finally showed up for a deposition in her wild ride lawsuit.
May 20, 2010 -- Lohan Misses Progress Hearing
The judge issues a bench warrant for Lindsay Lohan's arrest, after she failed to show up in court for a progress hearing. Lohan, who was in Cannes promoting a new movie, says she couldn't make it because someone stole her passport.
The warrant was recalled after $100,000 bail was posted.
May 24, 2010 -- Lohan Ordered to SCRAM
The judge tells Lindsay in order to stay free on bail, she cannot drink alcohol, she must wear a SCRAM device and she must submit to random drug testing.
A hearing to determine if Lindsay has violated her probation is set for July 6.
June 8, 2010 -- Bench Warrant
A bench warrant is issued for Lohan's arrest after her SCRAM bracelet generated a report after the MTV Movie Awards.
Lohan forfeited the $100,000 bail previously posted and a new bail was set at $200,000.
The warrant was recalled after Lohan posted a $20,000 bond — the standard 10% of bail.
July 6, 2010 -- Sentenced to Jail
The judge sentences Lindsay to 90 days in jail, followed by a 90-day inpatient rehab program for failing to attend her alcohol ed classes based on the set schedule.
July 20, 2010 -- Off to Jail!
After spending a couple days in Robert Shapiro's sober living facility, Lindsay reported to a Beverly Hills courtroom and surrendered to begin her 90 day jail sentence.
Because of overcrowding, she's only expected to serve 23 days.
