Pam Anderson Slams Janet's Fur Fashion
Janet Jackson is the new face of fur fashion house Blackglama -- and Pamela Anderson definitely isn't happy about it.

Janet came under fire by PETA shortly after an ad of her decked out in a mink coat, and now, the former "Baywatch" babe is blasting her too -- telling OUT "
It's disappointing. She has spoken out against fur before. I don't
know why some people stop listening to their heart. I guess some people
get greedy, but it's sad."
Other famous faces of the company include Cindy Crawford, Elizabeth Hurley, Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen and Diana Ross.
Question is ...

Nevermind PETA. And yes, the "meat" industry is disgusting when it comes to their treatment of animals. The main point that seems to missed here is the undeniable difference between VANITY and nutrition. It IS that simple. I will add that I agree we live in a free country (haha) and can do as we please, but that does not mean acting morally irresponible.

I just want to know where Pam Anderson comes off being so self rightous about fur - what are her Uggs made from - oh, and how about leather purses and shoes. Maybe she should take a good look at herself and stick up for all animal products.

I feel that people like Pamela (Pam) Anderson should keep their mouths closed. They should think about what they are eating. Me personally will wear a Fur coat, if I want to. I dare one of them to touch it. Oh Pam stop getting your breast enlarged!!! You are too full of yourself. Please stay with Tommy what's his name. You act better with him (Like a puppet)...!!! I don't put my personal views on others. But you seem to get a kick out of doing that!! Get a acting job, then I will make sure not to see anything you are in. I am in for my Fur Coat and my great meals with meat.

Cindy - You are the IDIOT!! You let what I said get to you. I stand by what I say. Just don't touch my furs, if I choose to get one. If I do get one, you better believe I will wear it proudly at all times.
You are the type of person, who wants everyone to believe what they do. Get a REAL LIFE!!!!!
Your comments are worthless to me! It's my perogative to do what I want to do and not yours or PETA!!!! Get it thru your THICK Head!!!

What is sad is that people are more about upset about how animals treated more than human beings. If you don't like the product, then don't buy it but that does not give the right to stop others from their freedom of choice. Ms. Anderson is not the best spokesperson for saying anything about anyone or should there be an organization against the abuse plastic being inserted in people.

There is a huge difference between eating meat for substance and killing an animal for the sole purpose of wearing its fur. Very little by-product goes to waste in the livestock industry; whereas mink, racoon, and sable meat isn't readily available in your local grocery store now is it.
I agree that the livestock industry has its own house of horrors; however that does not justify drowning, anal electrocution, and live skinnings all in the name of vanity. If it helps you to sleep at night to justify such disgusting treatment (supposing it bothers you at all), how about you go work at one of these slaughter houses and then come back and tell us how you still approve.
Janet Jackson is a loser just like her dead brother. Oh, and I can say that because, well, this is America, right? Please. Just because you can doesn't mean you should, people.

Black women are so beautiful in fur! I love fur. This country was built by traders. Including fur traders. And now that Black women can afford it. I say wear it. These same people who claim to be fighting for animal rights, are the frist ones to abuse humans. This is just another exuse to hate. Like the fat fool that threw paint on Aretha Franklin awhile back. Please believe it, if you throw paint on my fur. I beat your behind.

Junell, this country was built on more than just the fur trade. This is one issue that should be abolished. I like how you bring the race card into this subject. The subject is not about empowered black women. It is about the treatment, abuse and slaughter of animals. Not only have animals been oppressed & murdered but humans have too.
Do you remember a little word called: slavery? Well, people had to fight against what they believed to be ethically immoral, unfair, and cruel. Killing something to wear it's fur is just as bad as hating someone for the color of their skin.
Do people have the freedom to wear fur? Yes. Do people have the freedom to dislike you because of the way you look? Yes. Is it right? Absolutely not. So please stop leaving ignorant comments and stop using the race card when it comes to topics that aren't even related. Ignorance is bliss isn't it?

I understand the issue. The issue is about anger. It doesn't have anything to do with animal rights. Some people feel that they can tell you what to say. what to wear. what and when to use race as a factor. Yes, The fact remains that some people wants to blame someone else because they have no real issues to fight.
If you are a product of your environment that's your issue. not a race issue. And when Black are taunted for being beautiful by angry fat white women then its a hate crime.

Junell, there are people in the world that want to oppress. Do you know they go to Alaska every year and hunt seals and baby seals? They bash them in their skulls and kill them. Thousands and thousands a year just for their pelts they send over to Europe to greedy designers who careless for where or how they are obtaining their resources for fashion.
It is a topic that causes many emotions, but you are commenting that people are only angry because they want to control a black woman. I think you are the real racist here. No one even made a comment about race except you.
You are missing the real enlightenment of this conversation. It isn't about bashing one person nor a black woman. Some of the brightest and most wonderful people in my life are black women. Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangalista, and Elizabeth Hurley are all white women that have posed for Blackglama.
I really wish you would stop overlooking the real issue. The issue is about cruel, uncompassionate and greedy people murdering innocent animals JUST to WEAR their FUR. So if someone killed your pet because they wanted to make it into a jacket then more power to them? Seriously. I think I'm done trying to open up your closed mind and thinking. It's because people like you we cannot transgress.
Junell : 551 days ago
My point is demonstrated by your behavior. You have insulted me serval times. Because, like a cave woman, your perception is to taunt. I am not shaken by your comments. Do you not see a Black woman in the photo? I simply commented on how beautiful Black woman looks and feels in fur. Its not about how the fur was raised. If you think that processing fur is so inhumane. Then, you must be really passionate about humans and the unbabies that are killed every year. And the next time you sit down to a steak dinner. remember, that a life is a life. Some people wear furs for pleasure. Some people eat for pleasure. Which one are you?
Scarlet: 550 days ago
Junell, I did not comment on this topic just to offend you but state the obvious and truth. It's not whether I eat meat or not, and quite frankly I don't eat meat nor wear fur so your statements are quite wrong. You speak in circles and yes people also murder, rape, steal, and lie for pleasure, personal gain, greed and selfishness.
Is it pleasure that is allowed to consume you? Is it RIGHT? NO. You want to sit here and pass judgement and talk about humans and dead babies. You have no course for an argument, so much that you have to take things from left field just to support it. We live in an idiocracy and you are so unbelievably ignorant.
You could careless where the things you purchase or endorse come from? So you would be fine with purchasing diamonds from Sierra Leone? Blood diamonds? People die because of them, there are wars, but you are telling me that doesn't matter.
So if I wanted to wear diamonds at the price of a person's life then I have the right to do it because I have enough money to do so? The same goes for animals. Just like the oppressed. Women, children and the minority have had to fight for their rights and have people who weren't in those categories fight and protect them. Who is protecting the animal's rights? It's surely not you. Quite frankly I would be ashamed.

Good for you Scarlet, I fully agree and support your argument. It's a shame how ignorant and self absorbed some people are in this world.
