It was an emotional night on "American Idol" -- with 26-year-old Chris Medina standing out above the rest of the auditions.
Medina impressed the judges with his version of The Script's "Breakeven," but what moved them even more was the story of his fiancee, Juliana, who was left nearly paralyzed with significant brain damage after a car accident in 2009.
After Chris sang, the judges asked if Juliana could come into the audition room -- and that's when they told him he was going to Hollywood. Watch the emotional video above.
A crop of youngins also made an impression on the judges last night, with the deep-voiced 16-year-old Scotty McCreery, "True Colors"-singing 15-year-old Emma Henry and 15-year-old Thia Megia, who sang Adele's "Chasing Pavements," all making it to Hollywood.
