Princess Beatrice's Hat Sells For Whopping Amount

Princess Beatrice's infamous hat from the Royal Wedding has sold for $130,000 on eBay.

The hat has been described as a toilet seat, Faberge egg and Fallopian tubes by various critics.

The proceeds from the sale will be equally split between two charities: UNICEF and Children in Crisis.

"I've been amazed by the amount of attention the hat has attracted," Beatrice said. "I hope whoever wins the auction has as much fun with the hat as I have."

Millner Philip Treacy, who designed the whimsical hat, said he was "delighted, flattered and touched by HRH Princess' Beatrice's decision to donate the hat to charity."
