Video: Mila Kunis Tears into Reporter ... In Russian!

Matt Damon wasn't the only one who recently shot back at a reporter for a seemingly inappropriate question -- Mila Kunis did too ... and she did it in Russian!

0803_mila_video
Mila and Justin Timberlake were in Moscow last month promoting "Friends with Benefits" when one reporter asked Justin why he was doing movies now instead of music.

Well, Mila didn't approve and the actress -- who grew up in Ukraine -- got testy, asking in Russian "Why movies? Why not? What kind of question is that? Why are you here?"

The answer got a laugh from the crowd and a surprised look from JT.

Mila is the second star this summer to surprise us with her foreign language skills: Bradley Cooper became an Internet hit when he started speaking French while promoting "The Hangover."

"the Ukraine" ?????????????

Ukraine is the name of an independent country. There are only two groups of countries which require the article in English: Those with plural names such as the United States or the Netherlands. The others have names with adjectival or compound forms which require the article, such as the United Kingdom, the Dominion of Canada, or the Ukrainian SSR.

English grammar does not require a definite article before the names of singular countries such as England, Canada or Ukraine.

Where does this article refer to "the Ukraine"? At least we're literate in "the U.S."

p.s. Mila is hot. Kind of rude, but hot.

I believe Ankata's comment prompted toofab to fix their mistake. I'm sure he or she is thoroughly literate.

Check the tmz site again Ankata. The only place you'll find 'the' in front of Ukraine, is where Mila is described as "the Ukraine born actress". Nothing wrong there.
Unless the intended meaning is changed by sh*tty grammar what the hell do you care anyway?
'Bout as stupid as asking "why do you do movies" to a singer who's already proven his acting chops.

Calm down...I saw nothing rude... Why are you so defensive about Russia? No one insulted your country, you really don't need to get your panties in such a bunch over it...

Whats the big deal about Mila speaking in Russian?! She's from Ukraine! Its her Native Language! Duh! What I can't figure out is why she & Justin are pushing such a Stupid Movie on them. Don't we want them to be our friends? Justin should quit the acting world & go back to singing & Mila, she should work on a character rather than play herself. Her dry humor will only get her so far.

What is the suprise of her 'Foreign language skills?' She's from Ukraine! Thats her native tongue! Duh! My question is why are they promoting or pushing a stupid movie on the Russians?! Justin is a poor actor & Mila is, well, Mila, & on top of that she's an am-ha'aretz.........

Why is everyone so shocked she spoke in Russian, when A. it's a well known fact she's FROM Russia, and B. it's a Russia speaking press conference??

"Mila is the second star this summer to surprise us with her foreign language skills" < This statement, hardly applies here. I would hope she knew how to speak Russian lol

I speak Russian. The reporter told JT how much she enjoys his music and asked him why he had switched his focus from music to movies and if he would be making more music in the near future. I suspect Kunis saw this as an opportunity to get some press. Not cool.
