Adele Has Vocal Chord Surgery

Adele has undergone vocal chord surgery -- just one month after canceling all of her remaining 2011 concerts.

A spokesperson for Massachusetts General Hospital says the 23-year-old Grammy-winning singer was suffering from recurrent bleeding of a benign polyp on her vocal chord -- which is usually caused by unstable blood vessels.

Adele is expected to make a full recovery from the surgery -- and resume concerts in the new year.
