Ricky Gervais Blasts Kim Kardashian In Globes Monologue

Kim Kardashian isn't in attendance at the Golden Globes, but she's been the butt of host Ricky Gervais' jokes.

The reality starlet was mentioned several times in the comic's opening monologue.

"The Golden Globes are to the Oscars what Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton," he chirped. "A bit trashier, a bit drunker and more easily bought."

When naming celebrity couples who split in 2011, he called Kim's husband Kris Humphries "some guy no one’ll ever remember. He wasn’t around long." Ricky added that he's sat through "James Cameron acceptance speeches" longer than their short-lived, 72 day marriage.
