"Sex and the City" Star Cynthia Nixon Goes Bald!

She's famous for playing feisty red-head Miranda on "Sex and the City," but today it's Cynthia Nixon's lack of hair that's making headlines.

The 45-year-old actress showed off a surprising new look earlier this morning on "Live! with Kelly" -- She's gone bald!

The reason for the bald look: Her latest gig.

Starting this week, Nixon will play a cancer patient in the Broadway show "Wit" at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in New York.

Nixon is one of many who have shaved their heads for a role, including Natalie Portman, Sigourney Weaver and Demi Moore. See more in the gallery above!
