Whitney Houston's Greatest Musical Performances

As the world bids farewell to Whitney Houston, we remember her tremendous talent -- a glorious, golden voice that only comes once in a lifetime.

Perhaps Oprah Winfrey put it best by saying, "Whitney was the Voice. We got to hear part of God every time she sang."

Mick Jackson, who directed the pop star in "The Bodyguard," recalled, "Her voice shot you right through the heart." The 1992 movie brought her most memorable song -- "I Will Always Love You" -- a cover of a former Dolly Parton hit.

Below are our picks of Whitney's best musical performances, and check out her life in pictures here.

1. The Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl (1991)

2. "The Greatest Love of All" at the Grammys (1987)

3. "A Quiet Place" in Italy (1986)

4. "One Moment In Time" at the Grammy Awards (1989)

5. "I Will Always Love You" at the World Music Awards (1994)
