Kelly Clarkson Shows Off Her Vulnerable Side In New Music Video

Kelly Clarkson’s new single may be called "Dark Side," but the inspirational message behind the song is anything but dark.

The music video, which premiered Thursday, features a vulnerable (and gorgeous!) Kelly tackling some pretty tough issues, including unemployment, body image, bullying, addiction, war, and divorce. Though it begins on a somber note, the 30 year-old powerhouse leaves us hopeful for the future as she embraces those people struggling to face their demons and reminds us “nobody’s a picture perfect, but we’re worth it.”

A far cry from her last incredibly empowering song "Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)," Kelly’s new tearjerker tune takes a more sensitive approach to facing hardship. “Dark Side” may not be a feel-good summer hit, but the track’s overall uplifting theme will stick with fans long after.
