Taylor Swift's New Breakup Song -- Who's This One About?
Taylor Swift released her latest single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," yesterday -- so ... which of her famous exes inspired the breakup tune this time?
While Taylor isn't saying anything for sure yet, she revealed during a fan chat yesterday that she will provide clues in the liner notes of her upcoming album, RED, when it comes out on October 22.
"All the different emotions that are written about on this album are all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years," she says about the album.
John Mayer, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner already have songs written about them, so they're out -- but who else has she dated recently? Let's break it down.
But since 2010, Swift has been linked to "Glee" stars Cory Monteith and Chord Overstreet, "Country Strong" hottie Garrett Hedlund, Parachute frontman Will Anderson and, most famously, Jake Gyllenhaal.
Twitter fans of Swift's are leaning towards Jake ... but we have a feeling his song will be one of her more positive ones.
Check out the lyrics for the song below -- who do you think it's about? Sound off in the comments!
I remember when we broke up the first time Saying "This is it, I've had enough," 'cause like We hadn't seen each other in a month When you, said you, needed space, what? Then you come around again and say "Baby, I miss you and I swear I'm gonna change Trust me," remember how that lasted for a day I say, "I hate you," we break up, you call me, "I love you"
Oooh we called it off again last night But oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you We are never ever ever getting back together We are never ever ever getting back together You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
Like ever...
I'm really gonna miss you picking fights And me, falling for it screaming that I'm right And you, will hide away and find your peace of mind with some indie record that's much cooler than mine
Oooh you called me up again tonight But oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you We are never ever ever getting back together We are never ever ever getting back together You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
I used to think, that we were forever ever And I used to say never say never
[Spoken] Huh, he calls me up and he's like, I still love you And I'm like, I'm just, I mean this is exhausting, you know We are never getting back together ... like ever
We are never ever ever getting back together We are never ever ever getting back together You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
We, oooh, oooh, not back together, we Oh, getting back together
You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
