John Mayer Does Not Impress Russell Brand

If there's anything good to say about Russell Brand (and from a personal perspective, I think there's a lot, because have you seen this?), it's that he doesn't mince words.
Russell recently appeared on Howard Stern's Sirius XM show and discussed his many thoughts about John Mayer, and how he's both literally and figuratively filing in the space in Katy Perry's life that was formerly occupied by Russell himself.
When Howard asked what Russell thought of his ex-wife's new steady and whether or not Mayer was a bigger womanizer than Russell, Brand responded, "[Mayer's] worse or better, depending on how you view it." ... Zing.
Later in the interview, Russell also claimed that he's through with defending Katy Perry's choices in men, saying, "You have to let go of the instinct to protect someone once you divorce them," which about sums up how I feel about Katy's relationship, too (even though I think John Mayer is a seedy, skeevy piece of Taylor Swift-skid roadtrash).
About his own love life, Russell said, "I'm not dating anybody. Actually, I'd like a romance. [I’m] just going through life, meditating, doing yoga, concentrating on this TV show and trying to find a nice wife."
Last, if you weren't fully convinced that Russell Brand is actually a really cool and funny dude that just has a bad rep sometimes, then you'll just love this -- during the very same interview, Russell also joked about sleeping with the Queen of England. Does it get any more wonderfully absurd than that?
I think not.
