The "Glee" hunk, 34, and model Renee Puente, 26, reportedly had their engagement announced at Thursday night's White Tie and Tiara Ball in London by hosts Elton John and David Furnish. The soiree raises funds for the Elton John Aids Foundation.
E! Online reports that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Elton dedicated a musical version of "Your Song" to Matthew and Renee. The couple have been dating since 2011.
Matthew shared the news with his fans Friday morning, tweeting, "An incredible night of LOVE @ejaf ball. I'm going to marry my best friend! Happy day for me and @Renee_Puente."
