Can you believe, two-time Oscar winner Ben Affleck landed his breakout role in "School Ties"?
The 1992 movie centers on a group of boys attending an elite prep school set in the 1950s -- but
controversy erupts when a young Jewish student (Brendan Fraser), who was forced to hide his religion, is exposed by a group of hateful bigots.
Since Affleck's days in prep school, he's gone onto star in box office hits like "Good Will Hunting," "Pearl Harbor," and recently directed/starred in "The Town" and "Argo."
Affleck isn't the only A-list actor "School Ties" gave birth to -- Ben's "Good Will Hunting" partner Matt Damon, Chris O'Donnell, Fraser and a major Broadway star also appeared in the cult classic!
Unfortunately, one of the actors fell on hard times, and is in jail for vehicular homicide. Find out who by clicking on the "Launch Gallery" above.
