Chloe Grace Moretz has grown up covered in blood.
She first hit the mainstream by starring in 2005 remake of "The Amityville Horror" when she was just 8 -- and went on to star in genre films like "Kick-Ass," "Dark Shadows," "Let Me In" and the upcoming "reimagining" of the horror classic, "Carrie."
At just 16, she's already a "Scream Queen" -- and seems much more mature than her age suggests.
toofab caught up with the young star at the premiere of "Carrie" on Monday night in Hollywood, where she revealed why she does so many freaky flicks:
And while it seems like your mainstream horror movie, Moretz says there's a message in it that's very close to her heart.
