Sure, she didn't come close to Julie Andrews' legendary performance, but who really could, right?
Carrie Underwood had a lot going against her before last night's live staging of "The Sound of Music" on NBC -- and, judging by a lot of the tweets we saw, many of you weren't fans.
While many praised the "American Idol" winner's singing, her acting wasn't up to par -- and the same went for her costar Stephen Moyer. One thing is clear: Both of the leads were easily overshadowed by supporting cast members (and Broadway vets) Audra McDonald and Laura Benanti.
Rob Lowe, Cameron Diaz and Anna Kendrick live-tweeted the entire show -- and they weren't the only celebs tuning in.

Ok, so some of the acting is pretty bad, but you can't have everything. #TheSoundOfMusic— Rob Lowe (@RobLowe) December 6, 2013

@Sayitwithstyle I love Carrie but just don't wanna watch. Julie Andrews can't be touched.— Candace Cameron Bure (@candacecbure) December 6, 2013
