Platinum blonde after breakup!
Miranda Lambert traded in her dirty blonde locks for a platinum 'do, debuting her mane makeover on Instagram on Thursday.
"What doesn't kill you only makes you blonder," the "Little Red Wagon" singer captioned the sexy selfie, borrowing the line from the title track of her "Platinum" album. "Thanks @leewright_hairstylist and @stylehousesalon for the new do! #platinum #blondeshavemorefun."
"She had been going with a darker blonde the last six months or so, closer to her natural color," stylist Lee Wright told PEOPLE of her decision to go platinum. "She sat down in the chair yesterday and we both said, 'Let's go really blonde again.' She loved it — I spun her around, like, 'You're back!'”
While the color is a few shades lighter, Miranda wanted to keep the same cut. “We're just trying to stay around this of swingy, layered blunt bob because it's real versatile,” Wright explained. “She can smooth it down and make it really sleek or she can put texture sprays in it and just make it look more rock 'n' roll.”
Lambert has been busy performing since announcing her split from husband Blake Shelton last month.
"This is not the future we envisioned," they said in a statement at the time. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
While Miranda hasn't commented on the split directly, it's nice to see her back on social media.
